Christopher Gaddy
Director of Technology
Born and raised on the West Side of Indianapolis (Go Giants!), Christopher started working in the legal industry for his parents’ law firm, Gaddy & Gaddy, at the age of 12. In the early days, his time was spent filing papers and organizing the office. As time went on, he began working as a paralegal and developed extensive expertise in the areas of family law and criminal law. He also helped to fundraise and assist with the creation and development of the Ben Davis Sports Complex in Indianapolis, which still exists today.
In his paralegal role at Gaddy & Gaddy, Christopher assisted with the firm’s day-to-day operations, legal work, and technology needs. After obtaining degrees in Computer Engineering & Law, he worked for Blizzard Entertainment, where he helped to develop parts of the user interface for World of Warcraft and Overwatch. He also worked as a consultant for Microsoft, helping to troubleshoot the functionality of the artificial intelligence application, CoPilot, as well as the word processing application, Word. (Anyone at the Firm will tell you that if there is a way to “break” a program, Christopher will find it, break it, and then actively encourage the developer to fix it!)
Christopher joined The Nice Law Firm in 2016 as a Senior Paralegal, applying his extensive experience in family law and criminal law, and expanding his knowledge base into the areas of small business and real estate. He brings over 20+ years of paralegal experience and extensive technology background into his current role as the Firm’s Director of Technology.
With a diverse knowledge base and expansive skillset, his daily responsibilities alternate between legal work, technology, and the Firm’s accounting needs. His past experience as a paralegal and a technology consultant provides him a unique lens for analyzing and enhancing the Firm’s systems, while helping to push the boundaries of what is not only possible, but practical.
Christopher has been a strong promoter and adopter of the remote workplace, often performing his duties from Florida. (He is a BIG Disney fan.) Christopher may often be found strolling through a Disney Park with his wife and extended family, or simply working from one of the numerous “work remotely” locations within the Disney World complex.
