Raised in Chicago, David Ratowitz attended the University of Iowa on an Army ROTC scholarship.  Upon graduation, David was commissioned an officer, graduated from the Army’s elite Ranger School and served tours in the Republic of Korea and the 82nd Airborne Division.

Upon leaving the Army, David earned his JD and MBA from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA where he founded a real estate firm specializing in historic renovations.  After Hurricane Katrina David relocated his family to Chicago, IL and began practicing law, specializing in real estate and small business services.

David moved to Brown County, IN in 2021 where he serves his community as a volunteer firefighter and a search and rescue technician.  David joined the Nice Law Firm in 2024.
