Jamie Collins
Director of Integration
With an extensive legal background spanning nearly thirty years, Jamie Collins has worked for several high-profile trial lawyers and honed her litigation and trial skills to establish a successful career path as a senior litigation paralegal, prior to stepping into the role of Director of Integration at The Nice Law Firm. Jamie manages the day-to-day aspects involved with the firm’s onboarding, policy writing, copywriting, training, mentorship, branding initiatives, and future growth plans, while supervising and proudly working alongside the firm’s dedicated staff.
Having worked alongside the Firm’s Managing Partner, Robert J. Nice, for more than a decade, she also assists the firm’s litigation team in effectively litigating the firm’s legal malpractice, general litigation, personal injury, and wrongful death cases from inception through trial. Jamie enjoys getting to know the firm’s clients and has mastered all aspects of case strategy, organization, planning, document wrangling, the art of diplomacy, and legal writing. She is a high-energy paralegal who isn’t one to back down from a challenge. Throughout her career, Jamie has worked on a variety of diverse cases, ranging from those involving asbestos victims and the seriously injured, to complex class actions and multi-district litigations, including a case related to the terrorist attacks on 9-11.
Jamie is also a nationally recognized paralegal blogger who has written countless articles for paralegal magazines and newsletters for paralegal associations all across the country. She spends her twilight hours chasing her passion by penning award-winning true crime memoirs for remarkable survivors of unfathomable life circumstances. As a true crime author, Jamie has appeared on 48 Hours, The Dr. Oz Show, and both of her books were featured on Evil Lives Here, as well as numerous podcasts. As an award-winning author (ten and counting), Jamie’s writing skills translate well out of the memoir lane and into the throes of writing high-end demand packages on behalf of the firm’s clients. It is always her goal to translate a person’s true experience onto the page.
Jamie previously served as the Ethics Director for the Indiana Paralegal Association for two years and also served a two-year stint as a member on the Ethics Board for the National Federation of Paralegal Associations, Inc. She has worked as a paralegal subject matter expert consultant to a university’s paralegal program, was the keynote speaker at one of the largest law firms in America and has spent significant time visiting local colleges to speak with and inspire paralegal students.
When not paralegaling or writing other people’s memoirs, Jamie enjoys curling up on the couch with a good book, writing blog posts directed to paralegals, and traveling with her husband and son.
