Yvonne Geis
Senior Paralegal
Yvonne graduated from Greensburg High School and was a Hoosier Scholar. Originally interested in Library Science, fate led her to a job opportunity in the legal field. Fast forward several decades and Yvonne has quickly risen through the legal ranks to that of a Senior Paralegal who has experience in most areas of law, including family law, criminal law, business law, real estate law, with expertise in estate planning and probate work. Yvonne thrives working in probate due to her interest in taxation and the challenges each estate presents because, as she puts it, “no two estates are alike.”
Having worked for three different law firms, Yvonne has developed a broad base of knowledge and a wide range of experience. She enjoys serving her supervising attorneys and their clients throughout Indiana in their important legal matters, regardless of the area of law because she enjoys helping to solve people’s legal issues on a daily basis.
Yvonne is involved in her local community. She was named Young Career Women by the Business and Professional Women’s organization, she served on the board of Human Services Inc., serving Bartholomew, Decatur, Jackson, John, and Shelby Counties, and was appointed as a member of the Autism Commission. It brings her personal fulfillment to give back to others locally with her time spent serving these respected organizations.
Yvonne is also involved with Therapy Dogs International and particularly enjoys the Tail Waggin’ Tutors program at the local library, as well as working the Indy Honor Flight events where Team Yvonne and Old English Sheepdog Grayson participated in the meet-and-greet before the Veterans departed Indianapolis International Airport for a daytrip to Washington D.C. In 2016, Yvonne’s father was one of the Korean War Veterans scheduled for the April flight. Her sister was a certified handler for Grayson, and they surprised their father by participating in the meet-and-greet. Yvonne is also active in rescue work and presently is serving as a Director of Midwest Old English Sheepdog Rescue, Inc. Her latest personal endeavor is training her adorable new puppy, Wyatt, to become a therapy dog. When not at work, you can find Yvonne rescuing Old English Sheepdogs, gardening, or spending time with family and friends.
